There are a variety of reasons people might need coaching. Leadership development and continued learning after a training program are key areas where coaching is done. Wanting to develop a career plan, build effective teams and improve performance (self and team), design and implement a strategic plan and hold the focus, improve time management, or wanting to develop any professional and interpersonal skill, build constructive relationships and create work life balance – all these are be valid reasons to consider coaching.

I need to change…
“I am stuck and can’t figure out how to get beyond where I am. I need to understand what is holding me back…Do I need a plan?”

I have no idea what is happening…
“I don’t know what I want at all. I am feeling lost, confused. I know something has to change, but what? Where do I even start?”

I want to improve…
“I feel I can do better…I have to work smarter, not harder, and I need my time to figure out how. I need feedback.”

I need inspiration …
“I need new ideas. I need to get out of the matrix. I need fresh air and open spaces. I need to see clearly the opportunities that are out there.”

I want to improve my relationship …
“Something is not right between us. One of us has to initiate change. But where do I start? What is the first thing I have to do to make it better?”

I don’t have much time…
“I’ve got everything I wanted in my life. But time is ticking away… And I still feel like something is missing. Something important!”

We will never know unless we try. Coaching is a relationship, and as any relationship it is based most on the mutual good will of the participants, communication skills and… a sprinkle of magic.

Not at all. The walks and the one-day hikes normally require nothing more complicated than a good backpack and your personal gear. A sleeping bag, a sleeping pad and a tent is pretty much enough for trips and retreats. Remember, you design your own outdoor coaching experience and the level of comfort will be your decision.

Yes! There is no such a thing as best time for going outside, even if it is windy, rainy or muddy. If you are an outdoor extremist, and you can enjoy coaching under the stars on a cup of tea beside the open fire after a six hour hike on a cold, snowy day in the mountain, that is fine. As long as it is safe and it helps you move closer to your coaching objectives, almost everything is acceptable – be it a coaching session in a self-made ice-igloo or in a five-star winter resort hotel.

Age does not matter at all! Just make sure to choose the difficulty level of your outdoor experience according your abilities and skills. Please keep in mind you are going for a coaching after all, not for an endurance test.

Let’s simply talk about what you would enjoy and then let’s explore the opportunities available for you.
